VM-742B1-5 is the upper network communication module of the Shinkawa VM-7 series TSI system in Japan. It is installed in the VM-761B standard rack slot and collects vibration, displacement, speed, and alarm fault data of all monitoring modules in the rack through the rack backplane bus.

The role of VM-742B1-5 is to serve as the external digital communication gateway for the entire VM-7 TSI system; Upload the measurement values, alarm status, and fault information of each monitoring module (VM-701B, etc.) to DCS, PLC, and upper monitoring computer through Modbus TCP Ethernet protocol; Support PC diagnostic software connection to achieve module parameter configuration, fault diagnosis, and waveform data reading; Replacing traditional 4-20mA hard wiring, realizing digital data exchange of the entire TSI rack, it is the core network interface board for the integration of VM-7 system and external control system

Product features
  1. Dual port RJ45 Ethernet interface, Modbus TCP industrial Ethernet protocol, can simultaneously interface with DCS systems and diagnostic PCs without the need for additional hardware conversion.
  2. The backplane bus of the rack collects data from all monitoring modules of the rack, and a single communication module can read all measurement point data from up to 11 monitoring boards in the entire rack.

  4. Support PC based MCL View diagnostic software, which can read vibration waveforms online, modify module parameters, view historical alarms, and trace faults, facilitating unit maintenance and debugging.
  5. The panel LED indicator light intuitively displays the module operation, network link, and backplane bus communication fault status, facilitating quick on-site troubleshooting.
  6. The B1-5 version is a dedicated configuration version with a fixed protocol register layout, which is directly compatible with existing DCS point tables in existing power plants and petrochemical projects. Replacement of spare parts does not require modification of the upper level program.
