Woodward SPM-D11 8440-1666/E Load Distribution Controller
Woodward 8440-1666/E belongs to the SPM-D11 series generator automatic synchronization and load distribution controller. A cabinet mounted panel controller is used for diesel and gas generator sets to achieve automatic synchronous closing, phase/frequency/voltage matching, and load sharing management between multiple generators and between generators and the power grid.

main function
- Automatically detect the voltage, frequency, and phase difference between the generator and the bus, complete automatic synchronization, control the circuit breaker to close, and achieve safe grid connection/parallel operation of the generator set.
- Implement active and reactive load distribution among multiple units to avoid single machine overload or load drift.
- Provide protection interlocks for synchronization failure, voltage abnormality, frequency abnormality, etc., to prevent damage to the generator caused by asynchronous closing
- Display the electrical parameters of the unit locally, and output communication and switch signals externally. Connect with DCS and PLC upper monitoring systems to support remote monitoring of the unit’s parallel status.
