ProSoft MVI69-PDPV1 PROFIBUS-DPV1 Master Communication Module
MVI69-PDPV1 is a PROFIBUS-DPV1 master communication module developed by ProSoft Technology. It is compatible with Rockwell CompactLogix (1769 backplane) series PLCs and a single slot module. As a PROFIBUS-DP network master scanner, it enables data exchange between CompactLogix PLC and PROFIBUS-DP/DPV1 slave devices, solving the communication problem of Rockwell PLC’s native lack of support for PROFIBUS-DP master.
MVI69-PDPMV1 is widely used in metallurgy, water treatment, power plants, packaging machinery and other projects, connecting DP slave station frequency converters, instruments, remote IO, drives and other equipment. The module is installed on the 1769 rack backplane and exchanges data through the PLC backplane. The external DB9 interface is connected to the PROFIBUS-DP bus network.

- PROFIBUS-DPV1 master station scanning: As a DP master station, it polls all DP slave station devices on the bus, collects input process data from the slave stations, and sends PLC output data to the on-site slave station devices ProSoft Te.
- Support DPV1 non cyclic data access: Implement non periodic read and write for frequency converter parameter read and write, instrument configuration, device diagnostic information read, not limited to ordinary DPV0 cyclic IO exchange ProSoft Te.
- 1769 Backplane Data Mapping: Maps PROFIBUS network IO data to CompactLogix controller labels, allowing ladder logic to directly read and write labels, achieving cross protocol data interoperability, and comes with AOI routines to simplify programming.
- Bus network management: Automatically calculate bus parameters, monitor bus tokens and slave online status; Output diagnostic information to PLC in case of disconnection or malfunction from the substation.
- On site quick spare parts replacement: The configuration is saved in the pluggable Personality Module, and hardware replacement does not require downloading the engineering configuration again, allowing for direct restoration of network operation ProSoft Te.
- Module local diagnosis: The panel LED indicator lights intuitively display the module’s operation, bus communication, and fault status, making it easy to maintain and troubleshoot communication faults on site.
