F8621A 984862160 is a communication board for safety instrumented system co processors produced by HIMA in Germany. Compatible with HIMA HIQuad H41q/H51q safety system, standard 19 inch rack card, plugged into the central rack backplane for operation.
main function
- Share the communication and computation load of the main CPU, specifically handle serial communication tasks, ensure that the secure CPU focuses on executing SIS security logic, is not occupied by external communication resources, and guarantees real-time security logic.
- Provide two isolated RS485 interfaces to enable data exchange between HIMA safety system and DCS, PLC, upper SCADA, HMI human-machine interface, supporting Modbus RTU master/slave mode.
- Complete the external forwarding of safety system alarms, interlock status, and process measurement point data, while receiving instructions issued by the upper level.
- Support redundant system configuration, dual port RAM for high-speed data exchange with the main CPU; The board comes with a complete self diagnosis, and communication faults can be reported to the system alarm.
- Can only be used on the old H41q/H51q platforms, cannot be directly used on the new generation HIQuad-X system , software and hardware are incompatible with each other.
