The IPMC761-002 and IPMC712-002 are optional I/O modules installed on the MVME5100, MVME5500, and MVME6100 Single Board Computers (SBCs). Their design utilizes the PowerPlus II architecture.

The IPMC712-002 is a variation of the IPMC761-002. The primary differences between the two modules are in the physical interfaces of the Ethernet port and serial ports 3 and 4. These differences along with others are discussed in the following chapters of this manual.

IPMC761-002 Modules
The IPMC761 and IPMC712 are optional add-on PMC modules that provide backward compatibility with previous-generation Emerson products (such as MVME2600 and MVME2700) using the MVME761 or MVME712M transition board. IPMC modules provide rear I/O support for the following:
– One single-ended Ultra Wide SCSI port
– One parallel port
– Four serial ports (2 or 3 async and 1 or 2 sync/async, depending on module)
