Hydran M2 Enhanced DGA monitoring for transformers
The GE Hydran M2 represents the third-generation evolution of GE’s renowned transformer gas monitoring technology, designed for continuous dissolved gas analysis (DGA) in mineral oil-filled power equipment. As the flagship model in the Mark III series, this ruggedized monitor detects hydrogen (H₂), carbon monoxide (CO), and ethylene (C₂H₄) concentrations with 0.5ppm resolution, providing early warning of thermal faults and partial discharge activities. The Hydran M2 employs GE’s proprietary Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD) array, achieving 98% measurement accuracy across -25°C to +65°C operating temperatures.
